I love the domesticity and quiet wisdom of the scene described here. I love the calm acceptance, the simply profound statement of faith, the reference to vastly disparate sources of wisdom, and the routine kindness of a shared snack. I love the calm companionship, the safe and secure intimacy conjured in these few words.
